The Women's Under-19 European Championship

Road to the UEFA U19 Euro 2017 in Northern Ireland

The Women's Under-19 Euro consists of three stages: the first qualifying round, the elite round and the final tournament. When the final tournament, the Euro itself, is played in a year with an uneven number this championship also acts as qualification for the Women's Under-20 World Cup.

Our Red Flames Under-19 will play their qualifying round in Belarus.

44 countries will start the qualifying round, in eleven groups of four. The group winners and the ten best runners-up will join France, England and Germany in the elite round, the last qualifying stage before the Euro.

In the elite round, the six group winners and one runner-up will go to the European Championship, to be organised by Northern Ireland in the summer of 2017.

This European Championship counts as the qualifying tournament for the 2018 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup in France (7-26 August 2018).
