A dominant Belgium

Belgium dominated the first half by being technically superior. Against the run of play, Bryan Ruiz opened the score with a nice left footed volley (0-1). Our Belgian Red Devils kept pushing and Mertens was there to equalize on a missed shot by Eden Hazard (1-1). A superb Belgian combination  made it 2-1 before the break, Lukaku also scoring his 35th goal for Belgium.

Lukaku and Batshuayi

In the second half, Belgium continued its run. Lukaku scored his second goal of the night with a strong header and Batshuayi set the final score at 4-1.

Next Monday, our Belgian Red Devils will play their first group match against Panama at the World Cup (kick-off at 5pm Belgian time).
